Mahmoud M. Ismail, FRCS (Ophth)

Over 20 years of subspecialty experience, performing hundreds of pediatric and complex strabismus surgeries.

Graduated from Cairo University and trained at Kasr Al-Aini Hospital. Master’s Degree in Ophthalmology — Cairo University, with a Master’s thesis focused on inferior oblique muscle surgery. Completed a full Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus Fellowship at the Research Institute of Ophthalmology (RIO) and previously worked at Abor Al-Resh Pediatric Hospital, Cairo University, Egypt.

Holder of FRCS (Ophth) Glasgow and ICO Fellowship, with memberships in EAPOS, ISA, and RCSEd.

Editor and active researcher with peer-reviewed publications and educational videos featured by the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Invited speaker at national and international conferences, including APSPOS, ISA, and MEACO, as well as other scientific meetings.

Founder of Ismail Strabismus Academy, Ophtha Capsule on Facebook and Telegram, and the Strabismus Stories YouTube channel, alongside online strabismus educational platforms for residents.
